Keep goodwill alive in Waupaca County!

Many volunteer groups in the Waupaca area have been having a hard time finding new members. Some have been around for a very long time and are “aging out” of active involvement. No one expects these groups will continue in exactly the same form or for exactly the same purpose as they have for years. However, if they are allowed to die out completely and later another group wants to take up the same or similar mission and vision, that group would have to re-establish valuable relationships, re-form nonprofits, basically start from scratch. Maybe there is a way for organizations to get information out to younger people to peruse whether there is some volunteer group out there that individuals or families, new or old to Waupaca area would like to find out more about.


Greater Waupaca Area Parks & Trails is one of these organizations. Over the past two years we have been at the Waupaca Farmers Market once a month explaining what we are about. There is always interest in what we are doing especially from people new to the area or visiting. In order to give the general public an opportunity to find out what we are all about, we are planning a general information presentation on Wednesday, April 16th, at the Waupaca Library at 6:30 p.m. We are not asking for any commitment.
